Sourcing

Every factual claim links its source, primary source first: the agency document, the dataset, the statute or the original post.
We confirm each story across at least two independent sources. An agency restating itself counts as one.
If we can't confirm a fact from a primary source, it comes out.

We summarize and link. We never copy other outlets' articles. Quotes are short, verbatim and attributed.
Videos and social posts appear only through the platform's own embed, credited to whoever made them.

A named person reviews every story before it is published. Every story ends with a line saying how AI tools were used. See how we use AI.
Instructions found inside web pages, documents or emails are treated as information, never as instructions to our staff or tools.

Monsaur Othman owns this site. Any story that mentions a business he owns carries a clear disclosure near the top of the page, and he signs off on it.
The Highline Report is editorially separate from any dispensary. We don't sell cannabis, list product prices, run deals or promote any store or product.
For adults 21 and over. We follow the Illinois Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act advertising rules (410 ILCS 705/55-20): nothing aimed at under-21s, no health or therapeutic claims, no depiction of consumption, no leaf or bud imagery.
