Independence

The Highline Report is owned by Monsaur Othman, who also owns cannabis businesses in Illinois. The newsroom is editorially separate from them: we don't sell cannabis, list product prices, run deals or promote any store or product. Any story that mentions a business he owns carries a clear disclosure near the top of the page.

We follow the Illinois advertising rules in 410 ILCS 705/55-20: nothing aimed at under-21s, no health claims, no depiction of consumption.
